(“we”, “us”, or “our”), the operator of the Telemor service, collects, uses,
and protects your personal information when you use the Timor eBook
mobile application (“the App”).
1. Information We Collect

When you create an account or use certain features of the App, we may collect:
- Phone number — required for account registration and SMS-OTP authentication.
- Email address — optional, used for account recovery and communication.
- Full name — optional, used to personalize your profile.
- Profile photo (avatar) — optional, selected from your device's photo library.
- Short biography — optional, displayed on your profile.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device identifiers — a device token (FCM registration token) used solely to deliver push notifications.
- Reading progress — pages read, bookmarks, and audio playback position, stored locally and synced to your account to resume reading across devices.
- App settings — language preference, theme, and other in-app settings.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not use third-party analytics tools.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not access your contacts, calendar, health data, or financial information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To authenticate you and maintain your account.
- To provide access to books, audiobooks, comics, and podcasts.
- To sync your reading progress, bookmarks, and personalized library across devices.
- To send you service-related notifications (e.g., new content, account updates).
- To improve the stability and performance of the App.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We may share limited information only in the following cases:
- Service providers: We use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications. Firebase receives a device token but no personally identifiable information.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of our users and the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored on secure servers operated by Viettel Timor within Timor-Leste and/or partner data centers.
- Access tokens and sensitive information are stored in the device's encrypted storage.
- Reading progress, bookmarks, and downloaded books are stored locally on your device using SQLite and the device's file system.
- We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
5. Device Permissions
The App may request the following permissions. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
- Photo Library — to select a profile photo (avatar) when you choose to upload one.
- Camera — to take a new profile photo (optional).
- Notifications — to deliver updates about new content and account-related events.
- Storage / Files — to download books for offline reading.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for users aged 6 years and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age
required for parental consent in their jurisdiction. If you believe we have
collected information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact
us so we can delete it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Restrict or object to certain processing activities.

your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a

revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. For significant
changes, we will provide a more prominent notice in the App. Your continued
use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of
the revised policy.
